Client Testimonial – WorkCover Claim accepted upon review, and s.8.3 notice overturned

The regulator considered the review document completed by Kate and overturned the decision to reject my claim. The regulator found my claim to be one for acceptance. More importantly I had been afforded justice in this regard and felt vindicated. I don’t believe this outcome would have been possible without the support and services from Kate.

Kate has extensive knowledge in relation to the process and responding to section 8.3. Kate prepared a reply to the notice highlighting the unreasonableness of the action and the complete lack of grounds to initiate such action. On receipt of the response I was advised the action was to be immediately ceased and confirmed no suspicion now existed. The outcome achieved was a direct result of Kate’s Knowledge and expertise in relation to all aspects of section 8.3 of the Police Service Administration Act. Kate ensured my workplace rights were protected.

Sincere condolences to Senior Constable Foster’s family, friends, and colleagues. 💙It is with extreme sadness that we share the news of the tragic death of a serving police officer — NSW Police Officer, Senior Constable Kelly Foster, who died a hero.Senior Constable Foster and a younger woman were in the Wollangambe Canyon at Mount Wilson, north of the Blue Mountains in regional New South Wales. It has been reported that the younger woman was in the water when she fell off her inflatable lilo and was subsequently sucked into a whirlpool. Senior Constable Foster acted heroically and courageously and risked her own life as she tried to save the young woman from the water, however was tragically also swept in to the whirlpool and did not resurface. Senior Constable Foster, Kelly, we thank you for your service. You are a hero and will always be remembered as a hero. Our thoughts are with Kelly’s family, friends and colleagues during this truly difficult time. As we often do, we will run a fundraiser for our fallen colleague. From now until indefinitely part proceeds of every Thin Blue Line patch and every other item sold from our online store will be donated to the family of Senior Constable Foster. This will be donated into the official NSW Police Legacy fund once it is set up, and once set up we will share the details of this fund for those who would rather make a donation directly. www.cophumouraustralia.com ...
